Starting over

As a family we have been richly blessed, with wonderful extended family and great friends in our lives. Without any of you we wouldn't be who we are. We love you all and thank you for your support as we start over and continue on our new adventure through life.

Lake Owyhee

We took our first trip up to the lake.. we felt right at home.. can you imagine why???the whole trip up to it we drove up a canyon with a river running next to us..(great place for fly fishing) anyways canyon walls..sage brush..dry..hot..For a minute we thought we were back in Arizona..
Either way the boys had a blast..we packed a picnic..then went for a swim..even found a little tying trickle of water going into the lake..and of course had to dam it up and then let it rush..ok so we all got a bit dirty with that one..

Happy 30th birthday to me!

ok we forgot the candles so had to use thirty matches..that was interesting

I had a wonderful 30th birthday..surrounded by my boys and some really good food..thanks babe! Its been awhile since I have celebrated my birthday while camping..

Potato Picking

The boys had so much fun getting to go out and pick potatoes from the fields..we ended up gathering up 5 boxes full of yukon golds..oh they were so good and huge, we gathered up tons that were about 8-9" long..they made really good double stuffed potatoes..

So you always see plenty of little cowboy bottoms on a fence, but what about leaning over in an irrigation ditch to wash their hands..

She thinks my tractors sexy...

Nathan helping out a family in the ward and bailing straw.. interesting for me to learn..straw is the left over from wheat..
The baler just seems to poop those bales right out..LOL..

Sammy taking a bucket bath..
View of the river before we cleared it for the horses to get water..
Nathan was the first one to catch anything from the river...a nice big catfish..
We have a had a fun summer down here on the farm..learning to appreciate the simple things of life and how nice it is to have certain items we take for granted. The boys have learned a lot and still continue to have so much fun!

DISHES.....

The twins decided they wanted to learn how to do dishes...um well another way of doing dishes..

Doing dishes consisted of going down to the river..getting water..then boiling the water..Then allowing to sit for a little while till it was cool enough to touch..
Though it wasn't as easy as turning on the hot water in the sink or putting the dishes in the dishwasher..The boys had fun doing it and what kid doesn't enjoy getting wet at the same time..

Fun in the Sun!!!

I know these hot summer days are not as hot as...say a summer day in Arizona..but without ac it is still pretty hot..so we all got changed and decided to take our first swim in the Snake River..
All seven of my boys ready for their first swim.. with a wheelbarrow ride to the river.

Aww refreshing!!
